I have heard about israeli personna blades on this site. So I ordered some from westcoastshaving and this is what I got...
Are these the ones that everyone has been speaking of? I am asking b/c the back of the box says assembled/packed in mexico.

They are the same blade inside, just a different packaging.
I have these and the plastic 10 pack and they both have the same blade in the wrapper.

These are the Israeli Reds. They've been packaged for Latin-American sales with Portuguese and Spanish labeling.

These are consistently great blades - enjoy. I'm using the exact same package.
I ordered and received the exact same thing.
It says that the blades are "produced" and packaged in Mexico. So I wondered if they were the same as the somewhat famous "Israeli Red Personnas." This thread has been encouraging...but I still wonder what "produced" in Mexico means...
West Coast Shaving gets my 5 stars, btw!
The "Imported and distributed by" lines would suggest that manufacture was in a country other than Mexico.
Produced? Sounds like a way to suggest Mexican origin or content, but it looks like the packaging may be the only "product" of Mexico.
Hello All,
Mike is right on the bank. These blades are imported from Israel. The package and insertion is made in Mexico.
I posted some information on my vendor threat before it was stocked by all sellers.

This thread asked and answered all the same questions I had about my (southern hemisphere) Red IP's....
Cheers gents!!
Interesting. I bought a window scraper last week at the hardware store (American Line, made in the U.S. by American Safety Razor Company). It came with a 5-pack of SE blades whose packaging unambiguously says 'Made in Mexico.' So I guess there is some blade production in Mexico, but maybe not the DE.
i cant believe these blades actually work so well for everyone. I tried these in my ej86 and slim and ugh the only blade that has caused me any irritation or cuts so far. :( i wanted to like them but not for me.
Thanks for the clarification David.
I was wondering about this too. Nice to see they are what all the hype is about.
The blades work out great BTW.
Razors don't shave people. People shave people!
There are three critical types of moments in life: Times when we should use opportunity to be enamoured with finer details, and times we should ignore the minutia.
First time user, christened the blade in my 1921 New Improved last night.
Fairly smooth, a little tugging, some irritation XTG on my upper lip. Some post-alum stinging. A much better experience that the Astra SP in the same razor.
Admitedly, I don't think I have mastered the New Improved yet.
We'll see how shave #2 with this blade goes tonight.
