I also have oily skin and encounter the odd zit every now and then. I find that Kiehl's Blue Herbal Moisturizer works best for me. After using it for the past couple of months or so, I find that my pores appear smaller, my skin does not have that oily "red" look to it anymore, and my breakouts are becoming more and more infrequent. It does a fantastic job of properly moisturizing the face, leaving your skin feeling fresh, tight and clean. The only downside (besides the price ) is that it does not offer any spf protection. However, that problem can be counteracted fairly easily.

i use eucerine daily protection spf 30 moisturizer. It's light enough to use in the summer as a face sunscreen and so far it's been good in the cold months.

Today I tried Now Foods Organic Jojoba oil and it's great. It is quickly absorbed and will not let oily feeling. Your skin will gain a shining and moisturized look.

The question left in my mind after this discussion is if tobacco scented aftershaves, creams, and balms are dangerous to use.

I have Alt Innsbruck aftershave, but they also make an aftershave balm. I also have Mama Bears soaps with pipe tobacco scents, one of which (Beau Brummel) burns on my face.

I do not use tobacco (smoke, chew, etc.) but like the smell of the above-mentioned products so I use them.

Based on the info gained from this forum I ordered both Kiehl's Facial Fuel and Blue Herbal Moisturizer.

Both have been great, especially in the cold dry snowy weather that we've had lately. These are both non-greasy, absorb quickly and very effective.

I hate using moisturizers, my wife has always been looking for one that i like - but they always smell too feminine or are too greasy. I've been very happy with this, plus Kiehl's offers a few samples of their other products as well, which has been very cool.

We've had a snap of cold, dry weather lately, and my cheeks were burning from it. I used Nivea creme at night before bed, and a dab of either Eucerin or Lubriderm before heading out for the day. Although it worked, I still had a little burning sensation if I touched my face. Today, before work, I tried a bit of SWMBO's vitamin E and olive oil mix she picked up at Dollar General. Here it is, almost 12 hours later, and my face does not feel the least bit oily, nor does it sting and burn to touch my face. Seems to be some pretty good stuff, and not expensive.

I have oily skin as well, that just gets tight after washing or shaving during the winter (summers I use an alcohol-based AS alone). I my search for a very light moisturizer, I've settled on using an ASB or AS Milk. The one from TGR is very good, as are Speick, SCS, or any one that is what you would normally use.

currently using face moisturizer by Lucky Tiger. It's made with organic shea butter, green tea and sage. Shea butter is more easily absorbed into the skin than cocoa butter. It's also got vitamins and antioxidants. It is slightly pricey but you're paying for a really good product. They may offer samples on their website.

    cetaphil moisturizer cream original

simple, pure, works. comes in a 5 dollar tube and a 12 dollar giant tub. doesnt cause ithes, redness, or acne.

get it at wallmart or cvs, avoid all the fancy stuff with mystical promises and high price tags.

After years of trying everything and had settled on cetaphil and finally made a big move. For the past two months only baby oil. It rocks. I'll never use anything else.

Do you mean mineral oil (made from petroleum) for babies?

Vaseline or petrolatum came about when drilling rig workers noticed a clearish concoction gathering around the top of the drill and began applying it to their cracked hands.
As the Legend goes a supervisor noticed and told a friend and....
    Vaseline was born.
Todays Product found in stores everywhere is indeed a great one, used for everything under the sun and cheap as well.
Like aspirin, if discovered today would perhaps be more expensive.
I had no qualms rubbing it on my babys behind to prevent diaper rash, the stuff works!

I use rose hip seed oil daily after shaving. It absorbs quickly, and leaves the skin moist and soft. Wonderful stuff. From Wikipedia:

"Rose hip seed oil is a pressed seed oil, extracted from the seeds of a rose bush (Rosa moschata or Rosa rubiginosa) which grows wild in the southern Andes. It is unique among vegetable oils in containing retinol (Vitamin A), and is also high in vitamin C. Rose hip seed oil is high in the essential fatty acids - linoleic acid or omega-6, and linolenic acid or omega-3. It is commonly used in skin care products.[1] It is used for a variety of skin conditions, including dermatitis, acne and eczema, for mature and sun burnt skin as well as brittle nails and wrinkles.[2] Rose hip oil is also frequently used to heal scarring and diminish photo-aging.[3]

Most rose hip seed oil is produced in Chile and Argentina."

This post might be all over seen as though the op has decided what he wants but i wana add my two pennies...

Liz Earle moisturiser or superskin moisturisers are excellent products. Even though they are very expensive and aimed at girls.

I nick my girlfriends sometimes and they feel great on my face.

    Worth trying.

    Regards,
Seems to be excellent. And much safer and healthier than lab-made oils.
