Checking In ...

I've been on a couple of weeks but failed to check-in, sorry!

I've been wet-shaving for many years (about 30), used the canned stuff before that ... always used a cartridge razor except for a time in southeast Asia (used Gillette Blue blades) ... was issued a Schick injector razor when I joined the Army in '64.

Was going through some old stuff and found by father's 1958 (3rd Quarter) Gillette Fat Boy (gold(?) plated) ... found some Wilkerson blades at Wal-Mart for $1.79 a pack, started using the razor again ... currently use a no-name brush with some kind of shaving soap ... will upgrade as I use this stuff up.

Will be looking to replace the razor with something with a longer handle ... don't feel I need top-of-the-line but will look for something sort of in the middle ... also like the idea of a matched set on a nice stand ...

Glad to be here ... you guys are really full of it (in a good way) and don't seem to mind sharing.
