Red Pack Personna in Bulk

Hey all,

So I have a bunch of Red Pack Personna blades already (about 500), but was considering buying many many years worth of blades (i.e. for my life :) ) to have me set. The best price I've seen is $13.50/100, which is a fantastic price IMO. Does anyone know of a possible way of getting a cheaper unit price if I were to purchase a large amount, let's say 3000-5000 blades?

I would e-mail a vendor and ask. I don't know how much lower you can go than the price you quoted, however. But, no harm in asking.

500 blades and you're still buying more???

Even if you get 4 shaves per blade, that is 2,000 shaves or about 5 1/2 years worth if you shave every single day. I love 'em too, but a package of 100 (200 max.) seems to relieve the anxiety. There's always another blade around the corner.

Oh I know, I just think I'm paranoid.....haha. Like I want to stock up for life "just in case". Reading about others mentioning the "shavepocalypse" makes me realize I'm not alone!

Ha, I'm with you on the paranoia. I'm pretty new to wetshaving, but I've tried a bunch of blades, even the ones people compare to the personna reds, but they haven't come close for me. I would be pretty sad if they went out of business or stopped production and I would be out of blades. Unfortunately I am relatively young (<30) and a life supply is probably more than I should spend....

When I first started I was wondering why would anyone worry about the shavepocalypse, but in my short time wet shaving I've already seen the discontinuation of a number of products that others enjoyed.

I have over 1600 blades now and STILL buying more....We GOTTA be prepared for the Dread Shavepocolypse

I figure the price(s) of blades and the shipping is not so much I really need to shop around. As one poster noted, contact a favorite vendor and see if they would do better for a bulk buy. you just never know, and I think you help the shop owner from which you just might want to buy a nice new shiny razor or something one day! My 2 cents! On the other hand it's tempting to do a mouse click for a real good buy, but then just a little bit more I can buy from a favorite vendor who sells all kindsa stuff in addition to blades. aha, and most generally every time I do buy blades yes there's that bottle of after shave or shaving soap i've been wanting etc, and sometimes the blades push me into free shipping! etc etc
