I take an old pill bottle and put my coins in it in my pocket. I saw a guy that I was behind in a check-out line and I thought it was a great idea. I've since had other men see me with it, and comment to me that "that's a great idea". I always give credit to this other guy, who I don't know and have never seen again.

Some of those look really cool. I tried carrying one before but it just never felt right.

How do you tell when you’re out of invisible ink?
Nope. I hate carrying change so I carry as little as possible.
I carry a kangaroo scrotum.
Yes, you heard right.![]()
It's bad luck to be superstitious...
Like many here, I simply do not carry change. If I happen to buy some small item with cash and get change less than about 25 cents (US) I usually dump it in the little change dish most stores have next to their registers.
Just about everything from $5 up goes on the AMEX. I end up with a few hundred dollars cash-back every year. As I mentioned in another thread the other day, mom-and-pop purchases go on another card so as not to cost them the AMEX fee.
Any change I happen to get while out and about goes right into my change jar at home. I hope I never need to dip into that!

Somebody's nuts. I don't know whether it's me or them, but somebody is definitely nuts. I just wished I knew, so I'd know, you know?
I carry the butterfly type. I bought my first one at a market in Italy and then lost it! They are hard to find in Canada but you can find them on Ebay from England for little cost. The change just slides out making it easy to find the right coin.
What a bunch of Luddites you guys are, hating change and all ...
You probably all shave with old-timey razors, too, right??
I don't have one, but one day I'll go hardcore and get one of those leather bags with the drawstring that you always see guys carrying in old Shakespeare plays and such. I'll fill it with gold coins, and pay for my new car that way ... tossing it with a resounding thump on the salesman's desk when we're haggling over pricing and financing ... and then "thud-clink" I end the conversation.
That's a big sock.![]()
Be there or be square. Only I can do both!
I've got a cat named Beefeater and a dog named Beefeater, and two goldfish called Beefeater and Beefeater. There's Beefeater my hamster and Beefeater my horse, and my piglet, known as Beefeater of course.

I had one of these when I was a little kid.
It was worn on the belt by pushcart vendors so they could rapidly make change for a purchase.
I Came. I Shaved. I Conquered.
I am also one of those who rarely carries change. I always leave home without it.

I purchased the type where you can dump the change into a tray. I beleive it was 8.00 or so on e-bay. The people I work with give me a hard time but I usually allways have change available for the parking meter etc.
I bring the change back and put it in a removable cup holder in my car or leave it as a tip.

PS I do keep one in my desk for emergency change at work.
Mostly for quarters and dollar coins.

I carry about a $1.00 - $1.50 worth of change, loose in my pocket along with my pocket knife. I hate credit cards (debit cards are fine). If I accumulate more than about $1.50 in change in my pocket, I either dump it in a peanut can in the console of my pickup truck or into a jar at home. When the jar gets full, I take it to the bank and cash it in. I don't need any PURSE for my coins.
I wish the US would bring back the 50 cent coin, and discontinue the $1.00 bills. The one dollar bills have the shortest life of all the US currency. $1.00 coins make more sense.

I also use these coin purses. here in Britain, our small change ain't so small. The smallest denomination note we have is £5 so we get a lot of £1 and £2 coins which are also quite heavy. We need them to spend!
I've had one for many years after losing a small fortune down the backs of chairs!

I think we all see the "handwriting on the wall"......paper money and coins will soon be a thing of the past. Having said that, as for now I carry what change I have loose in my front pant pockets. I don't use a coin pouch. I find that I increasingly use debit/credit cards.
