Default Do you carry a coin pouch?

I remember my grandfather carrying his change in a coin pouch similar to these. http://www.clever-kangaroo.com/index.html.

I was thinking about purchasing one like this and was wondering if any of you carry your change in a pouch of some sort?

I used to carry the rubber ones that opened when you squeeze them. We made them in shop class at school.....Over 30 years ago.

To be honest I prefer to not carry any small change at all. When I do it is usually just lose in my pocket scratching up my lighter or pocket knife.

If I was going to I would probably opt for the old kangaroo scrote.

I carry the rubber kind. Hate losing change down the couch or chairs. Nice and cheap and easily replaceable.I don't use the 'lil chain thingy.

I don't like to carry any change at all ... either I will leave it behind as a tip, or as soon as I get back to my car, I dump it into an old sock that I keep tucked between the seats. About once a year, I take the sock to the bank, drop it into a coin counter, and either put it into savings or splurge it on a nice meal.

But I try and put all my purchases on a debit card, so there's no cash involved and no change to worry about. That way, I have a record of where my money goes. The only things I need to pay with cash are lottery tickets and drinks at the bar. Everything else, including monthly bills like my cell-phone and car insurance, are paid electronically.

I also hate carrying change, and will opt to carry a single quarter if I think I'll need change for a meter or something. Lots of silver in my vehicle, so unless I need it when afoot, a non-issue.

I do have an issue, however, with that coin pouch link that was posted. I went through every (I'm pretty sure) sub-link on that site, and for the life of me COULD NOT find a photo of that thing in use. I assume you squeeze it, but I'm not sure. Who is in charge of that ad? I would have liked to see a picture of it open with some coins in it. Is that asking too much?

    Okay, rant over.

I just started carrying one of these last year and I really like it a lot. Keeps my change from jingling and/or falling out of my pocket.

I hate change. I just leave it as a tip. Quarters are saved for parking meters.

Yes I do. Mine is a leather version of the plastic squeeze to open type that were made to advertise my home town bank many, many years ago. I found several in my grandfather's things after he passed away in 1971.

Good thing there were several, there is a band of spring steel that keeps them closed and after a few years the band wears through the ends.

I carry the butterfly type. I bought my first one at a market in Italy and then lost it! They are hard to find in Canada but you can find them on Ebay from England for little cost. The change just slides out making it easy to find the right coin.

I bring the change back and put it in a removable cup holder in my car or leave it as a tip.

PS I do keep one in my desk for emergency change at work.
Mostly for quarters and dollar coins.

The pouch johnmrson carries is perfect for the car, but a man has pockets in his pants to carry coins, otherwise it's called a purse.

I can't stand carrying change. I throw it in my pocket, but only long enough to drop it in a jar at the house. I never ever leave the house with any change whatsoever.

If I don't have a dollar bill for the bus, then I'll carry some quarters in a change pouch.

I have a coin pouch in my leather wallet or pocketbook as they call it in the U.S. I think they call it a Billfold too!
