I remember my grandfather carrying his change in a coin pouch similar to these. http://www.clever-kangaroo.com/index.html.
I was thinking about purchasing one like this and was wondering if any of you carry your change in a pouch of some sort?

I used to carry the rubber ones that opened when you squeeze them. We made them in shop class at school.....Over 30 years ago.

This is what I carry.
To be honest I prefer to not carry any small change at all. When I do it is usually just lose in my pocket scratching up my lighter or pocket knife.
If I was going to I would probably opt for the old kangaroo scrote.

I carry the rubber kind. Hate losing change down the couch or chairs. Nice and cheap and easily replaceable.I don't use the 'lil chain thingy.

I also hate carrying change, and will opt to carry a single quarter if I think I'll need change for a meter or something. Lots of silver in my vehicle, so unless I need it when afoot, a non-issue.
I do have an issue, however, with that coin pouch link that was posted. I went through every (I'm pretty sure) sub-link on that site, and for the life of me COULD NOT find a photo of that thing in use. I assume you squeeze it, but I'm not sure. Who is in charge of that ad? I would have liked to see a picture of it open with some coins in it. Is that asking too much?
Okay, rant over.![]()

I don't like to carry any change at all ... either I will leave it behind as a tip, or as soon as I get back to my car, I dump it into an old sock that I keep tucked between the seats. About once a year, I take the sock to the bank, drop it into a coin counter, and either put it into savings or splurge it on a nice meal.
But I try and put all my purchases on a debit card, so there's no cash involved and no change to worry about. That way, I have a record of where my money goes. The only things I need to pay with cash are lottery tickets and drinks at the bar. Everything else, including monthly bills like my cell-phone and car insurance, are paid electronically.

I Came. I Shaved. I Conquered.
Nope I hate carrying change. First chance I get I put it in a jar either at work, in the car or at home. Every few years I take the coins I have collected into the bank and trade it in for a Benny or two.
I carried this one for years...the secret to its convenience is that it's half the size of most coin cases and made of soft thin leather. It just disappears in your pocket. You can't carry much, but I don't wnt to anyway.
And it's falling apart, and I cannot find one even near the size and thinness. I got it at the 2004 or 2005 State Fair of Texas from a Mexican vendor who has not been back. Tried to get one made on Etsy, but everyone who replied either didn't have thin leather or thin enough zippers, or didn't have brown leather, etc. Very frustrating. Every place I go, they say, "wow, that's really convenient...everything we have is twice the size, sorry". Wish I had the time to take up leatherwork!
BTW, those are Japanese coins...the brown ones are about the size of a quarter, and the silver ones are the size of pennies.
I have a small leather one where the top opens with a metal clip thing when you squeeze the ends. I used to use it regularly, but then my sister made me a custom one out of cloth. Smaller, zippered, and camo. I like how I can keep a few coins around (In Canada we have $1 and $2 coins) without loosing one or two when I sit down, and they are always in one place (no pocket searches required) when I need to buy a coffee.
My small custom one also has two loops on it. One that can be run through with a belt, and the other a small loop on the corner to clip a beener through.
This thread on this site reminds me of the family guy episode where Stewie asks Brian to shave his coin purse.

Living in the US, I have never found a need for a coin purse, especially since I almost exclusively use my credit card to pay for anything. If I were living in Europe or any place that uses many coins, I may have one.

A little off topic, but I find it completely ridiculous that pennies and nickels are still produced in the United States. You can't really buy anything with one, and they cost more to manufacture than the actual value of the finished piece.
Now I see that perhaps the K Street coin purse lobby is behind it.![]()
Yes, I carry one of these.

I haven't seen many coin pouches here.
(To be true, I had to look up what they are.
Might be a US - Europe difference).
I prefer a traditional wallet:
It is a Meisterstuck wallet by Mont Blanc.

Have a nice day!
I hate change. I just leave it as a tip. Quarters are saved for parking meters.
Yes I do. Mine is a leather version of the plastic squeeze to open type that were made to advertise my home town bank many, many years ago. I found several in my grandfather's things after he passed away in 1971.
Good thing there were several, there is a band of spring steel that keeps them closed and after a few years the band wears through the ends.
