Restored Certifyd Brush, with Vulfix Silvertip badger knot from TGN

Ok, I'm not sure if it's cool to be selling two items at the same time under the new rules (although it seems like lots of people are doing just that). If I'm wrong, I apologize in advance, and I will remove this thread.

The reason this brush is for sale is because of a mistake -- let me explain.

I switched to boar brushes a while ago, and I haven't looked back. I had one really, really nice, older Certifyd wooden handle left that I wanted to turn into just one badger brush to keep for myself. Because it was for me, I bought the single most expensive badger knot that TGN has ever sold -- a 24 mm Vulfix silvertip badger knot, which cost over $50 for the knot alone!! Of course I put a ton of work into the handle too -- sanding like crazy, plus about 7 or 8 coats of furniture-grade polyurethane. After all, this was supposed to be my personal badger brush. And I think you can see that the handle is really worth keeping. Lots of these wooden brushes are either made from cheapo wood or are in rotten shape -- this one is neither. To my eye, the wood looks like ash or oak, and it's in beautiful shape with perfect grain and a nice honey/orange color.

So after all that, I used the brush just ONCE, and then I remembered why I don't like badger. It's just very soft and pillow-y and caresses your face, when what I've really come to look forward to in the morning is something that is scratchy and exfoliating. Anyway, this is my personal badger brush, used by me just once and then shampooed clean. I didn't like it very much, but I really don't like badger, so you can't go by me. What loft is it at? And I believe you mean 24mm knot. I'm pretty sure that's the only size TGN carried of the Vulfix Silvertip.

Thanks for the correction. I tried to check TGN's site to find the knot, but it isn't sold anymore, and Ian's probably right. It's a Vulfix 24 mm knot, not 26 mm. (I do know that the knot cost more than $50, because I remember gasping at the price when I bought it!)

I don't know where is the correct place on the knot to measure loft, but if you measure this one at the edge of the knot, it's around 50 mm, and in the center of the knot, it's around 55 mm. Thanks for looking.

Congrats to the buyer. The Vulfix 24mm silvertip from TGN was a great knot. And it was about $55 shipped when he started carrying them, and went to over $60 shipped once vulfix cut him off, as I recall. Not to mention that it isn't available anymore (unless you want to buy a Chubby 1 super 3 band and cut it out). 55mm is a pretty good loft for them. I've got one at ~53.5mm (my favorite brush), and another @~49mm (on loan to someone else atm)
