    Default Now need razor!

I came home at lunch time to eat and check my mailbox, and low and behold I had some delivery notices. After work I went to the post office to pick up my new Simpson Milk Churn and a ceramic bowl of Tabac shaving soap. I adore the smell of the soap unlike some seem to think and can't wait to lather this wonderful smelling soap on my face. The only things that hasn't came yet is my razor which is a Merkur 38C, GFT sample pack, and a razor sample pack from WCS! I can' wait to have everything together and do my first real DE shave. I'll let you all know once everything arrives!
It rubs the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again.

Fantastic! Whatever you do, keep the pressure REAL light. That is a heavy razor and the weight of it will do most of the work.

Merkurs are great razors and I used my 34C yesterday. Hope you enjoy your soap. I'm not a fan of Tabac myself, but there are many out there. Are you in Calgary by chance? We are trying to organize a meet if you are! There is a thread the general shave discussion.

My first week with my Merkur 34c and I love it. My skin is improving (compared to my gillette Fusion days). I've only used my other DE razor once, which is a Gillette 40's Super Speed black tip. I just prefer my Merkur because it works so good for my face. I'm hoping you love yours too!

I do plan on going with no pressure at all on my face, the only pressure being holding the razor at hopefully the correct angle and let as you say the razor do all the work. I have gone over these steps in my mind a ton of times now, hope it works as well as I think it will.

As far as being in Calgary no, unfortunately I'm not. I live in Lethbridge but if you have another meet somewhere down the road I would imagine I could make it. Just so busy at the moment with wife, kids, job etc. By the way, nice win by the Flames tonight!

    Thanks for the feedback guys!

I too love the smell of Tabac, especially when being lathered. All the best with your first shave, I have a 34C and love it when I'm too rushed for a straight shave.

    Go flames!!
