Question about rust on outer portion of door of super speed?

I tried doing a search on here(LOVE the site BTW) about rust on the shavers. Couldn't find anything about rust on the outside of the razor. I recently bought a 1950's Super Speed for my first DE and it is in very good condition except there seems to be a spot of rust on the outside of the TTO.

Is there a way to get this spot off? It's above the flash spot. Thanks for any help!

It's most likely brassing... The plating on the razor is off and you now see the razor itself. The best way to clean this is the good old tooth brush and soap. It won't come back to the original silver all around as you don't have plating on that spot anymore. The only way to "fix" this would be to replate the razor.

In all cases, it won't affect the shave.
