Well, if he can bring wine then he is over 21. Assuming the girl is as well, at that point he is a bit past the "Ask permission to court your daughter" stage (unless there is some cultural or religious aspect). So if it is just a first meet n'greet I'd say just a firm handshake is all that is expected, especially if, no offense, you aren't exactly the first guy this girl has dated of late. I'm a fairly traditional guy and I never brought gifts over unless it was for a dinner, and even then not that often (did ask permission to marry though). Flowers for the mom would be ok, though if the girl lives with them you could just give them to the girl and get the same benefit.
