Default Anybody else guilty of the "Lexus shave"?

You know, the "relentless pursuit of perfection"?

You finish two or three or four passes plus touch-ups, and you're rinsing off, and you feel a tiny area where there are two or three hairs that aren't completely gone, so you put a bit more lather on and go at it again, and then again......and then you are combing your hair and you look in the mirror and see one stray hair high up on your cheek that looks like there's a millimeter protruding, so you either go at it again or pluck it out with a pair of tweezers?

Nah. Good enough is fine for me. That's why I have 30 razors and more soaps, creams and potions than I possible need. Mediocre shaves are what I'm happy with.

Yeah, I'm right there with you. I do it 3 shaves out of 4 I'd say. The 4th just goes so perfectly it's not neccesary!!

Yup, every single time I shave. I don't bother shaving at all unless I'm willing to put the work in for a BBS.

I humbly submit that all my shaves are perfect and, therefore, no pursuit of perfection is required.

Certainly not every day, but definitely when I've got a social event or my girlfriend's in town. I have to remind myself that I'll probably end up doing more hurt than good, trying over and over.

Anybody else have to resist the temptation to continue touch-ups after running out of lather?

Default I'm totally guilty of this!

Yup, Lock me up cause I'm guilty of this EVERY shave. Must be the perfectionist in me!
Sometimes even after I put on aftershave. I will feel a rough patch and just go to town on it trying to teach it a lesson!

If I resist that urge I've been know to have another shave before bed so that I can enjoy facerbating while checking in on B&B before falling asleep with visions of shaving stuff dancing, albeit carefully because those blades are sharp, in my head!

I used to go for the Lexus shave, but too many times my face ended up looking like a beat up Pinto, so now I do three passes and done. Some are good, some are great, some are so-so. Even a mediocre shave with good equipment starts my day off better than no shave at all, or heaven forbid, a heartless Fusion shave.

I can be a bit obsessive when I try for perfection, and I simply don't have the time on a work morning to do so. If I missed a patch or something looks obviously wrong, I'll touch it up, but only on weekends do I go for BBS.

That would be me, guilty as charged.
