    Default Post Gillette #66 shave.

Having recently acquired that razor I was anxious to give it a shave, and boy are the gents here at B&B correct about these older razors, they really do give a nice smooth easy shave. I did a traditional 3 pass shave with no nicks or cuts, and ended with a DFS for my first attempt.

This razor was less aggressive than my Merkur HD, but at the same time it felt "fool proof" in that I could shave all day with this thing without fear of cuts. Of course I know better and still used proper handling of the razor but the impression was that this was a very forgiving razor even with an Iridium Super blade in it.

The grip on this handle is the best I've felt bar none. I can see why this style of grip is so popular. It feels like you could put oil on your hands and still get a great grip without slipping. Makes me interested in those Bull Mastiff razors everyone talks about lol.

A great experience with a beatiful razor to start the day!

    Nice razor!

Vintage better than modern? Well, yes and no, it's a preference. I prefer vintage but modern razors are very good too.

Congrats on one fine looking razor.

I love the vintage Gillette DE's.
