My first brush, but not my last. I have a deep bowl my daughter made that I can't get my mit into to lather decently, so I ordered a knot from TGN and cranked up the lathe:

Not a great picture, but when I have time and more to show, I'll do it right.

I love the finish, and the unique shape! Nice work. What size knot is that? It has to be the 26mm Finest judging from how big it is next to the Chubby.

It's a 24mm finest. The handle is Cocobolo with 3 coats of 2 part clear coat epoxy. I was afraid it might be a little floppy, but it was not - but not broken in yet.

That looks really nice, I love the shape of the handle. I've been wanting to do a brush myself, maybe now is the time.

Maybe you can convince your daughter to come up with a lather bowl v.2.0?

He's a beauty and I love the grain in the wood.
Plus the shape looks like it will be very comfortable. Can I say wasp-waisted ?

It seems to my untrained eye that you set the knot pretty far into the handle.

If I wasn't having so much fun making handles, I would. I have a scuttle that's just as deep, so, same problem. I also just like the longer handles for better leverage.

It's only set about 10mm. The glue band is about 8.
