It's Canadian Thanksgiving today, and since it is a holiday I have the day off.

I just started wetshaving a couple weeks ago, and use a vintage Gillette or Merkur with a Merkur brush.

Normally on a holiday, I would never shave. But today, I just had to go have a hot shower and shave. What a wonderful morning. Extra time, with no pressure of having to be finished at a certain time to go to work, or get the kids off to school.

So now I know I am hooked. Shaving on a holiday, long weekend !

I find myself shaving on weekends now also- something I never used to do unless I had to attend something.

I too had a long leisurely shave today - it really is a wonderful thing. Nothing better than rituals - and no rituals are better than a good shave!

I used to skip a day or two on the weekend back in the cartridge days, but I haven't missed a day since beginning DE shaving.

I took a 4 day weekend for no reason other than to burn some vacation time before I loose in, and just like yourself I have yet to miss a day shaving. With all the free time it has been the thing I have looked forward to the most.

I used to shave 2 times a week before I started with the straight razor if that. Now I shave as often as I can.

I actually didn't get a chance to shave at all this holiday weekend

I'm now a weekend shaver as well. Only difference with my routine is I don't go ATG on weekends. Gotta give my duff some sort of break. SWMBO thinks I've lost my mind. Good to find solace in the company of like-minded enablers.
