Bob Dylan, "It's Alright Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)."

After "Gates of Eden," perhaps my favorite Dylan song.

I've been listening to a lot of that Dylan Amnesty 4 CD set lately.

Highly recommended to any music fans. Lots of great songs, but sung by a wide variety of artists doing great interpertations of his songs.

This is one of my favourite Dylan songs too, although I find it impossible to say which is my absolute favourite. Nobody else has written a song quite like this one. I want to know what deal Dylan had to make and who he had to make it with for the ability to write such songs. He was 23 when It's Alright Ma was released on Bringing It All Back Home. The same album had Subterranean Homesick Blues, Maggie's Farm, Mr. Tambourine Man, Gates of Eden. Then a few months later he's releasing Highway 61 Revisited with Like A Rolling Stone etc! That just isn't possible unless like Robert Johnson he made a deal with someone!

^ I just finished listening to "Bringing it all back home" the other day.

From start to finish, just a rock solid album....and my mini-review of Highway 61 is here (looks like 1 other person liked the album ).

I love all Dylan, but early Dylan is by far my favourite.

After the last three tags I see the possibility of a theme...

It is a great album from start to finish. I hadn't seen that review before. Are those Classic Album Discussions an ongoing thread? I've never noticed them before.

You mean not everyone is a Dylan fan? I refuse to believe that. Especially on a gentleman's forum such as this.

I deleted my post here because I had posted it a long time ago. I try to come up with fresh posts rather than repeats.
