FS: 1960 Fat Boy

More thinning of the herd . . .

1960 Gillette Fat Boy, date code F1. Nice, but not perfect. Plating on the silo doors looks a bit thin, and a few tiny brassing spots on one side of the handle (you might well miss them if I didn't mention them). Silo door open/close mechanism is a bit stiff, although silo doors open fully and close down tightly.
Adjustment mechanism works perfectly, and numbers on adjustment dial are nice and black.

Razor has been thoroughly cleaned, polished, sanitized and oiled.

I've, just today, purchased this very nice Fatboy from Legato (Joe) - Thanks Joe! I'm looking forward to having it in my arsenal. Here's the whole, rather embarassing, story:

I opened this forum and saw FS: 1960 Fatboy and even though I have 2 fatboys, my RAD went "Fatboy, Fatboy yeah yeah." So, click click I was in. There in front of me I saw what appeared (at least to me) to be gold. My RAD went "Gold Executive buy, buy!" So, click, click PM sent I will buy this. PM sent back: "it's yours." Click, click... PayPal sent... RAD went: "it's mine!"

Then, as if awakening from a deep, dark slumber, my brain suddenly said... "you know, the folks on this forum know the difference between a fatboy and an Executive." My RAD said "Huh??" and I went back to look at the pics again. Okay, they look gold, but maybe they look silver too.

PM from Joe: "Razors in the mail. Thanks!" Okay, that's very cool. Thanks for the fast service Joe!

PM back to Joe: "This is gold plated correct?"
PM back: "No, it's nickel."

My RAD then crawled into a corner to sulk. Then my brain piped up again: "You know, it's still a fatboy and you got a good deal." My RAD then said "Yeah, it's a fatboy and you got a good deal."

So, you know what? It's a fatboy and I got a good deal. Thanks Joe!!

The moral of the story: RAD is what it is and you never can have too many fatboys! Now... what else can I buy......
