Just placed an order today for the following:

EJ DB89L (lined handle) with 5 free Derby blades
Progress Vulfix 404 mixed badger/boar brush
Omega Pro 49 boar brush
10 Feather blades
10 Gillette 7 O'Clock blades

So exciting! I just hope I can get at least reasonable-to-good results with the EJ and one of the three blade types. It'll be my first proper DE razor as I've only used the Wilkinson Sword black plastic and its supplied blades with mixed results (I need to get my technique right and not hack at my unlathered neck in frustration when the stubble patches are being stubborn, giving me bumps and several weepers in the process). If things work out and I realise traditional DE shaving is definitely for me, I'll probably look at a Simpsons best badger brush as the next main purchase. I have an Edwin Jagger pure badger as part of a gift set but the silver end cap fell off due to the glue being heated when soaking, so I'm hoping these cheap boars will be a good interim replacement once broken in.
