My brand new Samsung Captivate, Android-powered smartphone. The desktop software (just updated) for my old "dumb-phone" stopped being able to manage the old phone (Sony Ericsson w580i). At that point, I knew that it was time to say goodbye to the old reliable and get something new. It should be here in the next day or two.

Just found a buy it now shiny 62 slim with case for £29 on ebay including postage. Well I couldn't resist could I. This will be a back up for my trusty 66 model. Its coming from the States so it will take a while to get here in the UK. I apologise to all you Gents in the USA for depriving you of another Gillette slim.

11 Razors in total from a weekends auction(-ating? -eering?)

    4 Aluminium Techs
    1 Slim Twist
    2 Fat Handle English Techs
    1 Durham Duplex DE style
    1 1912 Gem - Ornate handle
And 2 Mystery Razors - One I have tentatively identified - but don't want to spill beans/gloat until I have eyes on it, one a German razor - only a patent number given. Searching the patent number leads to some interestingly priced ebay auctions though...(though I doubt mine is one of the fancy ones)
Lance -- What razor collection? Just making sure I have options, lots of shiny options.

Waiting for a men-U Premier shaving brush (I'm a noob and I wanted to avoid an apparent ethical dillemma surrounding badger hair until I learned more about it) - and I'm pretty impatient as everything else is ready to go to start DE shaving. I'm already getting a better shave and a more pleasant experience with my Gillette Fusion and Erasmic stick 'hand lathered' on my face than I was with shave oil. I'm reading the wiki, watching the Mantic videos, practicing using minimal pressure and understanding my beard growth, so despite my eagerness to start, I've already started, iykwim.

Couple more days and I can start working on the proper lathering technique.

i'm waiting for the following to be delivered:

    5/8 DOVO Best Quality razor
Soap Sampler from SRD of 12 soaps
    Pacific Shaving Co Nick stick
Poor man's Strop set from whippeddog
Silvertip brush from whippeddog with handle from firehouse pottery
    Razor stand
Bvglari Soir set with cologne, aftershave and shower gel
Mama Bear Spellbound Woods soap in a beautiful wooden soap tub

Spent about $200 on all that but I think I found good deals and I think I'm getting a good deal getting all those items for $200...

I'm waiting for all that from four separate deliveries and it's torture especially since I ordered most of it Friday and it won't even ship out until tomorrow because of the holiday! Dammit!

Nice haul! I too have the Pacific Shaving Co. nick stick. Unfortunately, in my experience it hasn't worked any better than an alum block(which works pretty good). I'm curious how you like it when you get it!

Right now I am waiting on some Nivea Creme from Germany.
