  1. Default Is there some kind of magic to lathering Kiss My Face

Just got my bottle today. i followed the directions on the bottle and was only able to get a thin layer of layer for my face. Nothing anywhere near the "super lather" describe in the wiki article.

    What am I doing wrong?

Superlather is something different. Superlather is a mix of 2 or more shaving cream/soap to produce a richer lather.

However, if it's thin, I would think that you are not using enough product. Here's a link to the tutorials if required: http://wiki.badgerandblade.com/index.php/Lathers

More product, less water usually solves a thin lather problem.

IIRC, Kiss My Face actually requires MORE water than most other soaps/creams out there.

I tried out Kiss My Face as well.. I found that some experimentation with water and product amounts prior to actually using the product for a shave was incredibly helpful.

Two pumps, no water (beyond what's in a shaken out badger brush). I also use unlathered KMF for a buffing/polishing after the last pass.

Love the stuff. So darn slick.

KMF markets its product as a brushless cream. To get a lather you've got to use a brush. I find 2 pumps is more than enough for 2 passes and a touch up for my legs.

I've had great success with this product. Not much in the scent department, but it makes a great lather. I don't know if this will help but I bowl lather. I put 2 squirts in the bowl and then start mixing with squeezed out brush adding water a dribble at a time until I get what I want. Works for me.
    Best regards, Fran

Yes, this! KMF works extremely well when lathered in a mug and applied with a brush.

Just used KMF keylime last night. I'm suprised by the couple of posts that said two squirts. I just used one squirt which amounted to a small almond sized dallop in my salsa/queso bowl/mug with southwestern motif thingy... :) And easily got three passes of lather with three more if I wanted it.

I do also notice as nate said it seems to me to acquire more water than say, C.O.Big

For me KMF exploded with lather at two pumps but I never cared for it, seemed to vanish on me alot like Williams...that was years ago though

Despite numerous times trying to make it work, I could not get KMF to lather in a bowl. I gave up on it and relegated it to the back of the shelf until I finally gave it another shot. I face lathered it like would any other cream and it was simply amazing. I only face lather now, so it works for me and has made it's way back into my rotation. The fact that the lavender smells amazing doesn't hurt any, either.

Work with it a little more and you will be rewarded. This is my Monday - Friday cream and works great!

Like the others said, two pumps and work in the water slowly. The pump dispenser makes it easy add a little product if you go too far.
