The FWE is the same one I honed last week (my first honed to shave ready). I thought I might be able to get the edge better, and wanted to experiment with my other rocks to see which edge I like the best. So, I took it back to the 8k and then finished with 100 laps on my vintage Thuringian. In the end, it was another smooth shave, although I may prefer the coticule edge I had before. My experiment will continue though, as I take it back to the 8k and on to my nakayama next!

The MdC soap was excellent. I was afraid I didn't load the brush enough, but then the lather started to explode on me! It has a great earthy lavender scent to it, and left my face feeling well hydrated. But the real icing on the cake is the Montale Cuir d'Arabie - what great juice! I was worried it was too leathery, but it has a depth that just speaks to me!
