And a fine razor it is too. It gets a well deserved spot on the front row.

Awesome John. We should dob you into The Collectors on the ABC.

I'd love to have a look through the Gillette Collector's Handbook next time we bump into each other.

10 months? Are you shittin me? Thats about how long i've been doing it and my wife thinks i have a problem. I don't have nearly a third of what you have. You are what i inspire to be, sir. Your collection is outstanding!! I have that Dovo Bergischer Lowe pictured in your collection. Tomorrow will be my first shave with it.

A third? I've been at it for five years or so (with a three year hiatus...wore a beard and shaved in the shower...big mistake...I'm skating to the penalty box) and I've got three DEs, an SE, one shave ready straight, three straights in the "restore" pile, and about a dozen different creams/soaps. I'd say that's about 1/30 of John's collection.

    IMPRESSIVE.

Thank you all again for the kind words. Hopefully I'll be able to fill in some of the gaps over time.

Not at all. 10 months ago, this is what I had. I went searching the internet for blade options as the Wilkinson Swords sold in the supermarket were pretty average in quality and about $1 a blade. I found this site and as they say, the rest is history.

Once I get my straights more organised as to numbers and variety, I'll do a bit of a photo pictorial of them on their own. I've managed to pick up some nice customs as well as some very good vintage and antique razors.

It's a Hookah or water pipe.

I bought that off a chap on this forum. Gbernard I think it was. He got a plastics factory to make it up for him.
