Default Kona Brewing Co.- Limited Release Porter

I'm a huge fan of the Kona Brewing Co. beers. Last night for MNF, my wife brought home their latest beer which was a limited release Porter. The beer is flavored with Kona coffee and is a really outstanding beer IMO. If there are any other Kona Brewing Co. fans out there I highly recommend this one..get it while you can!

This brew sounded interesting to me. So, I looked it up online here, Kona Pipeline Porter. I don't think that it will be available in Louisiana, and that is a problem. Say, have either of you guys checked out Abita Beer? Very Good Micro Brew.

The Fire Rock Pale Ale is one of my favorite pale ales. The porter is great too. Love the Kona coffee in it also. I'm pretty sure the Pipeline Porter is a year round brew. I'm actually not too sure Kona even does limited releases. Is this something different?

I really enjoy their Longboard Lager and their spring Wailua Wheat Ale. The porter sounds interesting, I'll have to pick some up.

The packaging said limited release, unless it is just a marketing thing...any how is good stuff.

Its a "limited release", because it is a seasonal beer, limited to fall/winter.

Abita makes some good beer. I drank quite a bit of it when I lived in New Orleans. Even went on the "brewery tour". They are a bit big for the "micro-brew" label, but they make some good beers. My favorites are the andygator, amber, and turbodog. They also make a good root beer, but it was a bear to find most of the time.

Ahh Kona Brewing Pipeline Porter. One of my favorites. I am lucky enough to go annually to the Kona Brewers Festival and have many of their beers that are not sent to the mainland.

Kona Brewing Co. has a lot of good brews; we enjoy all of them. Good to see the micros and brewpubs in the Islands; that is good beer drinking country. It is also a good place to visit. Suck 'em up Brudda! Slick Rick have a couple for us.

The only Kona beer I tried was a wheat beer and it was not very good; actually a bit sour.

My favorite porter at present is brewed by Summit Brewing Co. out of St. Paul, MN. It's called Great Northern Porter and is well worth hunting for if you enjoy a good porter.

    Cheers,

I saw this recently at Total Wine in AZ. Looked really interesting, but I didn't pull the trigger.
