    Interesting, I was not aware of the abrasive aspect of stropping. I thought of it to be a polishing thing.
    Maybe I should not have mentioned removing bur when stropping, would you say that this is incorrect?

    Well you do remove burs if there are any there, so yes you do remove metal but only minute amounts, stropping is basically a continuation of the honing process and it does polish the edge. Also after shaving the fine edge of a razor can get rolled over just a bit and the strop straightens the edge out.

    No, it's not incorrect if you're creating burs. I just don't raise a bur.

    This article does a good job explaining what's going on at the edge of the razor with stropping.

    Thumbs up Starting with Straights

    Just started learning about straights, your video was well done and answered many questions but one, what constitutes one stroke; a pass on one side of the razor or one pass on both sides (up & down), otherwise it was easy to follow, Thank you.
