Anyone watch Boardwalk Empire on HBO tonight?

Neat new series about prohibition in 1920, in Atlantic City on the boardwalk. They built a huge boardwalk town for the show and included a couple of Gillette billboards. Thought it was neat. Grabbed this screencap from the HBO web site.

Two of my sisters kids are in that program as extras. I don't have HBO , so she will tape it for me so I can see the show and my nephew and niece.

I won't spoil it by giving any in-depth details but it's a good show and this first episode has me and my DVR hooked for the season. I'll be using the DVR a lot because the new season of Dexter starts next Sunday on Showtime and I can't watch 2 channels at the same time.

I just thought it was neat how they literally built a city and in the detail of the city, included not 1 but 2 Gillette billboards. SO far in the first episode, no one has used a DE to shave with but there is a barbershop straight razor shaving scene.

The first episode was a little slow at the beginning to introduce you to the characters but this is going to be a great show and I cannot wait until next Sunday.

I haven't seen it yet but the reviews have been pretty outstanding. HBO may have done it again

I have watched every episode so far and that Gillette logo sign has been shown in every episode. I'm sure that they researched the boardwalk and found pictures of these Gillette signs. It really is cool to see these old signs being re-created for this show. I wonder how long it will be before we get to see Steve Buscemi shaving in the bathroom with some antique Gillette razor?
