How well does the HD British Rocket shave?

I have a few British HD Rockets with Pat No. 694,093. I noticed that the blade guard extends out a little more than the U.S. Super Speeds. My question is; are the British HD Rockets a milder shaver than the regular Super Speeds? How aggressive are the British Rockets?

If by "regular Super Speed" you mean the flair-tip, then I would say the RHDs are about the same in terms of shave quality (that is, both are excellent). But, of course, the look, feel and weight are very different.

I don't notice any difference between the rocket and the flare tip super speed as far as quality of shave

it shaves beards...just joking, kinda like a superspeed or red tip. depends on your prerefence

I'm currently waiting for my first HD to arrive. I'd like to know if the shave is significantly different from the #58 - the "de luxe" version of the HD? I believe the head and weight are the same, the only difference being in the handle and better quality plating (?)

Although I like the heft of my HD Rocket, I find I get a little better shave with a '40s Superspeed or a Diplomat. I'm going to give the Rocket a little more time as maybe I don't have my blade angle exactly right.

I never got around to having an SS, but i find the Rocket HD to shave with the ease of a tech, but twice as fast. :)

The blade feels more "pingy" in the HD than in any of my adjustables, it could be additional stiffness. Either way, it's nice and weighty, super smooth, aggressive enough, and has the best TTO mechanism going.

I find the HD Rocket to be in the same league as the Fat Boy. Heavy,over priced and an average shaver at best.

I found it similar to the Flare Tipped Rocket. A decent shaver, tho eclipsed by the Aristocrat Junior. If you like Rockets, you should have an HD in your collection.

How does a Rocket HD compare to say a British Aristocrat like the #66?

I had a Rocket...it moved on to find another loving home...I have a #66 in regular rotation :)

Both shaves were satisfying but the #66 is a beauty and a pleasure to see on your counter...
