    Default One shave, two creams

Anyone else use more than one cream in one shaving session? Lately I've been doing a two pass shave with Proraso, then using Creamo Cream for my blade buffing touch ups. I've found that for blade buffing I like the Cremo because of the extreme slickness, and also I like a non lathering cream so I can better see my skin during the buffing. This combo has been working out well for me.

Can't say I've ever done that, but I understand your explanation, and I can see where the slicker brushless Cremo would be good for buffing since you can spread a very thin coating on and still get a good slick cover. Probably makes it easier to "feel" what you're going after with the buffing. When I get down to buffing, I like a pretty thin, wet layer of lather for that.

Lately I've been using Origins Blade Runner as a prep/softener. Smear a bit on by hand post-shower while my face is still wet, leave it on while I work up a big lather of Nancy Boy or Lucky Tiger with a boar brush in a bowl. Then wash it off just prior to applying the lather used in my shave. Been working great so far...

With uberlather you can combine a cream and soap together and get the same results on each pass. http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthr...ght=uberlather

To take a cue from Highlander (the movie) "There can be only one!" That's my mantra when is comes shaving cream. However, if you prefer extra cream and many people do, knock yourself out. It's hard to knock something that people find fun and works for them.
