question about the vendors corner

How is this forum supposed to work? Basically, when the vendor has some new announcement do they start a new thread? Or do they post a reply to their own thread with new info?

Mostly we update our current topics.
We try to keep Vendors Corner uncluttered.
They're 4 pay levels of Vendors, similar to the contributors.
The lowest level which is Copper, the Vendor is only permitted to update their thread once a week, though they can answer posted questions.
They're encouraged to take the questions to PMs or e-mail and not conduct business in the opened forum.
