    Default Life of the nose

I decided to try the Ambrose method to break in a couple brushes last night. Someone recommended using Musgo Real, and I happened to have a tube of it languishing in the recesses of my shaving gear, so I gave it a shot. Now I remember why it was languishing— I can't stand the scent of MR. Of course, this morning my brushes smelled like it even after rinsing them out, so I gave them another shampoo with Neutrogena anti-residue shampoo, lathered up some Proraso (Aloe & Green Tea), rinsed and dried them off.

Now, the scents of the MR, the shampoo, and the Proraso are combining to form a light, fresh, soapy, almost flowery scent that's amazing
I don't usually care for floral scents, and I find the MR scent to be too powdery, too old-time barbershop-ish, but mingled with the freshness of that shampoo and a hint of Proraso's menthol, it smells awesome!

Sounds like you need to try a superlather with the Proraso and MR.

I loved Musgo the first shave, but by the third I smelled urinal soap. A couple of days later I went into a bathroom at a Marriot in Orlando and smelled Musgo Real. I had to give it up for a few shaves. I really like the performance, but more than 2 shaves in a row and I am disliking the scent again. Maybe I'll try a Musgorasso shave soon....
