Experiment FAILED

I noticed when splashing Witch Hazel on after shaving I could feel more easily any spots I might have missed. I surmised that perhaps the WH was causing the hair to stand straighter. So I thought that I would apply the WH BEFORE. Not a good idea:thumbdown. Perhaps it was a coincidence, but I had a bad shave with poor results. However nothing ventured nothing gained. I was on day 3 with a Feather, I hope that wasn't the cause.

It was as you described an experiment - one you will not choose to repeat but one you will remember. On a brighter note, things have will be uphill from here.

It might have been a coincidence??

Don't know 'cause I haven't tried, but doubt that closing down the skin pores a bit would harm the shaving process. Not if beard hairs were properly hydrated. Maybe someone else here can offer a more enlightened perspective.
