Default Possibly the best $3 ever spent...

Cracked open my Palmolive shave stick for the first time today...all I can saw is WOW!!! This stuff is a wolf in sheeps clothing. It's very minimalist packaging and pretty plain smell equates to and explosion of slick lather goodness. This stuff wastes no time generating loads of lather while providing great moisturization. All in all if you are looking for a great way to spend $3 pick up one of these.

Got it from am online vendor here in the States...its the Euro version, so I'm assuming that includes the cost of getting it imported to the states...I would say $3-$4 USD is the going rate for the States.

You got a good price for it here in the States. Several vendors, and good fair ones at that ask $5.

Glad you experiened it and liked it. I was very impressed myself. I highly recommend you try Spieck it you haven't. Same great quality, same size, GREAT scent.

    Yes there is.
Unconfirmed rumours has it that the "gut2.2" is going out & another version has entrerd the marked. With tallow moved down the list.
But there is a few various formulas circulating, depending on country of origin.
And with the internet-shops importing world-wide&shipping world wide it gets confusing fast

But if there is a mark on saying "gut 2.2" you go the good stuff.

Or actually, the only Palmolive I've used is the 2.2 stuff & it's awesome.
The other formulas get mixed reviews.

I recently purchased two sticks for about $6 shipped EU to US for the tallow version. That was the cheapest I could find it.

To respond to the OP. Yes it's great stuff, all around. Just shaved with it last night. Love it.

Depending on how much you buy, you can get the sticks for under $2 each from www.westons.com

Yes, I heard this too, so I bought twelve of them for 11.4 € just to be on the safe side. The scent leaves somewhat to be desired IMO, but its performance is outstanding. Once you've lathered up the scent is so faint that it is no problem even if you do not like it at first.

To avoid shipping costs I once added 12 sticks to my order. No regrets at all; it was the cheapest and by far the best part of that package!!

I ordered in bulk (quantity of 60) from one of the vendors on ebay. It came out to $1.80/stick and this included shipping costs to the U.S. This means I still paid roughly twice as much as our European friends, but it still beats $3-$5/stick before shipping.

The vendors here really gouge the mark-up because these things are in high demand and not available in stores anywhere. I wish Palmolive would just start selling them here.

If the price really is $0,99 in Sweden, I'm gonna buy a bunch of them this weekend, on my side of the border they cost $6,5

I've sent out a couple of loads of the Palmolive sticks to the US. Six of them plus shipping comes to about $12-13 equivalent. If anyone fancies swapping the equivalent value of VDH, drop me a PM. I used to ask for Williams but with 9 pucks of it I think I'll be OK for a while!

I prefer using Palmolive as a puck and found that adding a generous quantity of Old Spice to the grated soap makes it an even more pleasurable experience.

The Australian version has no tallow.

Having both this and the European version I would rank the Euro as being slightly better, but the Aussie version still works fine. And it is about the only usable shaving item that you can buy easily from a regular supermarket here. Everything else either comes in a can, has cartridges and/or is just rubbish.

I'm not sure you can use the term "gouging" for something that costs $3
