Nice story about how to convince others

Hi
Usually I am really into Wet-Shaving, I really love it, read every day for some hours! all that is written here and in all the other forums around

So, I want my friends and even other people I don't know that write in forums or do what I do for living like work, study and so on to use the same shaving I do and enjoy it as much as I do Smile

But, no matter what I have did, still only few if any would try some thing different then all the "crap" Gillette sell on T.V.

So, a day or two before today, a friend of mine just "drooped" in my house.
It is an old friend that I know from my days in the army, he was around my neighborhood so I invited him to come to my place and sleep here the night (he is from far away)

After we had some talking and I gave him a nice meal (meat balls and so on)
I had to my bathroom , there he was "STUNNED" - He saw all the shaving stuff I have there, his jaw just drop dead Wink
so, I started to explain him all about it, and why is it so good and so on, but the final last straw was when I offered him a shave - now he all most NEVER had a good shave, he usually use an old electronic shaving machine
The shave I gave me was a delight for me! , it was much easier then when I shave my self, I gave him a nice lather made from SAINT CHARLES SHAVE Shea butter - he LOVED the smell and lather, the shave was "splendent"
He was talking about it all night long!!! He said to me that he never had such a good feeling over his face, he felt like he had a brand new face and skin:-) and he was much smoother then he ever known!
So
I told him about this site and many others, and gave him more information and where to buy what

Now, after a day, I have talked with other friend of mine, and he had the some thing! He is using only an old electronic shaving machine, so he want me to shave him too !!

I don't sure that all these nice guys will turn their back to the shave machine, but I am sure I gave them something to thing about it, and I have found that just writing things like I do in forums and so on, won't do it
but
When you demonstrate your "skills" on them, they just don't believe how good does it feel !!!

Careful....
the local barber might get a little upset at you stealing his business....

FWIW the best shave I've ever gotten was at the hands of a barber (I've come close, but that guy was a master) it must be a little easier.
Which razor did you use?

How many other B&B members have offered to shave their buddies? You have certainly enriched this forum with your honest and sincere posts. Keep it up!!

I have used a DE, but next time I will use a straight, when I will get the one I have ordered and when I will know to use it the best
It was my favored one - the HD with Feather blades

Adn you are right, my friends told me I should open a baber shop here in my house, more guys are willing to get a great shave from me

I love shaving, I love the feeling, love the cut, the smell, the making of the lather and so on:)
I am willing to shave any one who want to "feel" what is wet-shaving, I am sure he won't regret it:)

I will tell you something about me
I am guy who wear hand made shoes of an old Sandlar who made this boats from actors like Shawn conery and so on

I love using hand made stuff and all other things that are more "traditional" stuff
When I am using things like Moss scuttle who handsome Shara made for me who things like that, it just "worm" my heart!!!

I love doing things the "old way"
I am enchanted by the blade
Since I was boy allways loved knives and so on, so for me shaving is a good way not only to hold a razor, but also to use it:)

My next project - and I am sure you will LOVE it
Is to get to one of the morning shows in TV here in Israel, and explain to the all people why should they use wet-shaving
I have study this topic so much, that allmost any question some one give me I immediately give him a good answer

For me shaving with a straight or DE is a forgetten potential of man kind
So
I want to restore it, to make sure that even 100-200 years from now, when most of us probably will be gone, the straight edge will still rule the world, and the Gillette will vanish and not the opposite

What makes us a better man if not saving what our feather used? Should we abandonee classic music like Bethovan ?!
Should we lay to die the food we eat for all those capsule they sell us today in cans ?!

If that not worth fighting for, then what in this world is ?!
I hope to inspire you, to make you want to spread the "disease" so more and more guys will come back and enjoy what you and I enjoy every day!!!

I really love your attitude, ead! Preserving a "lost art" for future generations and loving/living the traditions is something that appeals to me, too!
Good job on "converting" your buddy and all the best for your TV-show-plans!
