    Default Tried the Feather

I loaded my Red Tip with a Feather today. I shower and shave outside during the summer and today in NY the weather is perfect. I do not have to be in work till three today so I decided to go full out and try the feather nice and slow with no distractions. I really like this blade Using minimum pressure as I was aware of this blade's reputation, I cleared most of my stubble WTG on the first pass. The Chin and Jawline were the usual tough spots, but again I went really light XTG and then ATG. I used the Williams puck and today I got the best lather yet. I followed up with some witch hazel and then the Clubman After Shave. I am now in a good mood.

I got a pack of 50 Feathers through today and tried one out in my 39c just now, very close and smooth. I think I'll be buying these from now on, I've tried Personnas and they're scratchy on my face going ATG.

I didn't feel as though the Feathers are to be used any differently or more carefully than any other blade, but I did nick myself once on my cheek (which is rare) but I didn't feel it at all. I also didn't really feel it cutting the hairs either, very sharp and smooth for me. I'm really impressed and glad I bought 50, should last a while.

I finally got around to trying a Feather last night. I still can't believe how noticeably sharper it is than any other blade I've tried.

Feathers are great but when they get the least bit dull they will destroy your neck. That's been my experience at least. They seem to go dull more abruptly than other blades if that makes any sense at all.

This has been my experience as well. I am somewhat glad it has now been validated. 3 Shaves at most for me. At MOST!

As much as I like it, if it is only 3 days, I would settle for a longer lasting blade.

I normally use my blades for a max of 2 shaves nomatter what the blade anyway, they're so cheap why settle for an ok shave from a blade you don't know how worn it is, and for hygiene reasons.

I purchased my 50 Feathers for £8, if I get 2 shaves out of each that's 100 days/over 3 months so still not bad at all, and that's if I religiously shave every day which I don't.

Absolutely. Even at Feather prices, they're still inexpensive compared to cartridges.

I've only had a chance to test drive a few other brands but nothing so far has come close to a feather. You just have to figure out how long they last you and not push it.

I made the "mistake" of trying the Feather before I tried all other blades in my sample pack. Needless to say, I bought a 100-pack of Feathers and no other blades will be getting any love from me.
