Inexpensive Japanese straight?

Are there vintage Japanese straights and are they like the folding razors; an inexpensive way to start?

If so, does anyone have a source?

Thanks.

There are plenty of vintage Japanese, folding razors out there. I wouldn't call them inexpensive but they're cheaper than a lot of the vintage German and English razors.

What do you consider inexpensive?

Well, TstebinsB, I'll tell you.

I ain't made of money, but will pay for quality. Within reason, of course. Maybe under 40.00 for something that needs work, as long as it is a quality maker.

Are there vintage non folding Japan straights, too? Are they reasonable?

Thanks.

There are non-folding Japanese razors on eBay. You can find something serviceable.

As for folding Japanese razors, your price is harder to match. PM sent.

Go to one of the flea markets held around Tokyo on the weekends and you'll find plentry of rusty vintage Japanese straights on the cheap. Other than that you see them on eboy but they will require plenty of work or may be beyond any work.
