How do I clean and sanitize a second hand adjustable?

Let me start by apologizing in advance as I know this has been asked 1,000,000 times but I couldn't find the answer in the FAQ...

I just purchased a Gillette adjustable from ebay and while it looks great, it does have some rusty looking areas and decades old gunk in some places. I hear you shouldn't boil the razor but I want it to shine like it was new and be sanitized (bleach?)...any processes or techniques that work best?

Buy some scrubbing bubbles and a toothbrush with medium soft bristles.

Spray the razor with scrubbing bubbles and let it sit on there for about 5-10 minutes, then scrub with the toothbrush. Rinse off. Repeat if necessary.

When it's as clean as you would like it to be, wipe it down with some rubbing alcohol and let it dry. Should be good to go.

If you really want it to shine, you could polish it gently with a microfiber cloth and some Maas metal polish.
