    Default my AS regimen

Give me some feedback on this. My daily regimen consists of Thayer's Rose (which does not have alcohol on the ingredients list), followed by Pinaud Clubman, and finish off with JASON Beard and Skin Therapy. I used to use Nivea ASB instead of the Jason's, but I found that I was actually having a reaction to the Nivea. I've only been using the JASON for a couple-three days now, but I'm happier with it.

The feedback I'm curious about is if I'm using too much product for my precious mug. What about mixing alcohol-based with non alcohol-based. I know that Clubman's is actually good for the skin, but the JASON says not to mix with alcohol-based products.

I mix alcohol and non-alcohol after-shave treatments and don't have any issues. There is a school of thought (which I subscribe to) that alcohol is a necessary part of the post-shave process. I don't know why a product would say to not use with alcohol-based aftershaves, honestly.

Having said that, it's your skin. If your skin after a shave feels smooth, moisturized, and non-irritated, then you are doing the right thing by it.

I agree with Smedley: it's a YMMV thing, and you should do what feels right for you. For me, I use the alum bar and let that sit while I rinse out and put away the brush, etc., then I rinse that off, dry my face, and apply either an aftershave or a balm, and that's it: only one product on my face. But that's me, and you're you.

One suggestion: experiment. Try different things and see which one(s) work best for you.
