Default Scammer Alert: Trading with member from British Columbia with few/no posts

Gentlemen, scammers don't hit us often, but unfortunately we have one intent on preying on our members at present. The thief in question has gone by the usernames justinsane, silvertipfan, TheCEO, OneMillion, and Mrcanuckalhead and, if he's truly intent on a visit from local law enforcement, will attempt to re-register here yet again.

The scammer's m.o. has typically been the arrangement of a trade (often with brushes) in which he sends nothing or only part of what was promised. He has also scammed members by complaining ferociously about items received in an attempt to garner concessions from the sender.

We advise all members -- buyers and sellers alike, to be particularly cautious about sending items to Canadian members with few/no posts, particularly in trade. We understand that this is an inconvenience to Canadian members who fit this bill, and suggest that those members do their best to assuage would-be trading partners by providing fully verifiable contact information and/or providing up-front payment. As a reminder, we prohibit WTT posts from members with less than 50 posts and 45 days for precisely this reason. Our b/s/t is a caveat emptor forum.

Anyone with mailing addresses, email addresses, names or other information about this individual is asked to contact a moderator asap.

Thanks to quick action from multiple members, we have the scammer's contact information, including name and address. Feel free to PM me should you wish to verify a deal. More work on our end, but it's important to us that our trustworthy Canadian members (meaning, all of them but this one trouble maker) not be unfairly denied b/s/t deals due to one man's actions.

Members are still invited to contact us with any further information about bad trades or other deals with the usernames in the first post. Comparing notes is the key to providing pertinent officials with what they need to do their job well.
