    Default feather ac sensitive neck

Hello, I have heard that straight razors are better for sensitive skin. I was thinking about picking up a japanese style AC because I still have a irritated neck after 2.5 years of de shaving. I dont think i have time to hone and sharpen so i thought the ac would be a good choice? Will it reduce my irritation?

I have sensitive skin on my neck as well, and often have minor discomfort from shaving. On the days when I use a Feather AC/DX with ProGuard blades I can get a close totally comfortable shave if I am careful. NO PRESSURE IS THE RULE!

    Best regards, Ken

I'm into my second week with my feather AC RG and love it. No irritation.

I also have a very sensitive neck with a hurricane/whirlpool on one side. With the Feather AC I can get very close, comfortable shaves. My favorite blades are the Pro Lights, although the Super Pros are also very good imho. Follow Ken's advice and make sure you use no pressure at all!

Good advice already given. Any open blade razor is the ultimate adjustable, just be sure to take your time. As for the pressure, a good way that I've found to find the right amount of pressure is to pass that blade over your skin so that you can barely feel it, almost as if the blade is floating over your skin.
