Single Malt & Scotch Whisky Fall Tour 2010

I know a large number of you guys enjoy scotch so I'm passing along some news I just got. The Scotch Malt Whisky Society of America does an annual Tour of tastings around the U.S. It's a nice event that I've enjoyed in the past. Lots of good scotch, food, etc. It's also a great event for anybody wanting to try new scotches before you commit to buying a whole bottle.

Even after the discount, $120 is a bit steep for a tasting. And I have to wear a jacket, too?

I think I'll pick up some Laphroaig Cask Strength and stay home instead...:biggrin1:
 
I too though $120 was a little steep for the our whisky tasting here in Canada. I guess my mind considered the money to be better spend towards a good bottle of scotch that a tasting.

It's not inexpensive but it's more of a whisky festival type environment like WhiskyFest and Whisky Live just on a slightly smaller scale rather than just a tasting. $120 ain't cheap by any means but it's as much as you want of 100+ different scotches, nice dinner buffet, and a few cigars as a going away present.

It was well worth the $ for me when I went earlier this year but value is always an individual decision.:thumbup1:
