    Default Beard Trimmers

My Remington beard trimmer finally died after about a dozen years of use; now I have to find another to replace it.

I'm looking for suggestions for a high quality beard trimmer that I can also occasionally use to shave my head while traveling.

Strange you mentioned that, I bought a Remington beard trimmer based on the recommendation of a good friend about four months ago. In fact, it's probably a successor to your original trimmer:

Remington MB 200 Titanium Mustache Trimmer

There's not much to say about it; it's a fairly simple and straightforward product and is efficiently designed. The length changing mechanism is on a scroll-wheel and makes changing the length fairly effortless. I can't honestly imagine ever needing more from a beard trimmer. I've never used one to shave my head, but I can't imagine that it would be a problem for this trimmer.
Just another weirdo with a beard.

    Wahl Lithium Grooming Kit
I have one and it's awesome!! Battery life is the best I have seen. Mine cost me AU$120 and it's worth every penny, but I am sure you will find cheaper if you shop around. It will shave anything - head, body, face and has detachable and inter-changeable heads on it. Check it out.

Very similar in design to my old Remington, I will definitely check this one out, thanks!

Thanks for the Wahl suggestion, I've never used this brand before but I saw some at my local Personal edge, now I will have to take a closer look.

I've never had much luck with beard trimmers ... they all seem to break down on me after six months or less.

I've been through most of the major brands like Remington, Norelco, Conair, etc. Haven't tried a Wahl yet, that will probably be my next choice. I want to try one of their Lithium Ion battery models.

Currently, I'm using a plug-in set of hair clippers made by Andis. Its stood up well for about 2 years, although the clipper head is a lot bigger than I'd like for goatee and sideburn trimming, it does the job.
    I Came. I Shaved. I Conquered.
