OK, tired of paying some guy to hone your razor, yet confused by whether you need a coticle, a Norton, a Naniwa, a Sukihara, slurry, no slurry, what's the hurry? 8k? grit? mesh? etc??????
Well my friends, I'd rather light a candle, than curse your darkness
So, here's my handy-dandy junior honemeister kit.
Includes:
2 sheets 3.25x9" 5um AlOx lapping film (black)
2 sheets 3.25x9" 3um AlOx lapping film (gray)
2 sheets 3.25x9" 1um AlOx lapping film (green)
1 Radio Shack 60-100x microscope (batteries included)
And, if you act now, we'll throw in this shiny, shave ready Gold Dollar razor!
That's right folks, it slices, it dices, it may even julian fry, but most importantly it is a shave ready straight that you can use as a benchmark of your honing results. Or simply use for removing troublesome whiskers from your face! See edge at 400x.
I find I can get about 10 uses per sheet, with the sheets becoming less agressive over time, but leaving finer finishes. The film is pretty indominable, and will sharpen anything you care to throw at it: High carbon steel? piece of cake. Stainless? Fuggedaboutit, no problemo.
$55 shipped CONUS for the setup.
Operators are standing by....
