  1. Default Active Duty Members/B&B veterans: I need so advice...

    Greetings to all,

Here's my question: How can you properly soak a shave brush without a sink and/or a bowl? I'm soon to deploy, and ask any active duty member- you don't want to soak a brush in a deployment bathroom sink! I prefer to lather direct to my face, thanks to the Tabac and Nana June's Tea Tree "to go jar". Prep and lathering is not the issue here.

    Any advice?

Tall coffee cup. Fill the cup with all your stuff while you carry it in your dopp bag.

My sink at work doesn't have a stopper; I just run some water over the brush for a bit and just make do.

    Default some ideas for you

Not sure where you are going, I am in Iraq on a small JSS. What I did was to buy a cheap coffee maker and one of those unbreakable coffee mugs. It looks like ceramic but I guess it's some sort of hard rubber or something.

You will have plenty of bottled water, you can always cut the bottom (about 3 inches up) from a bottle and use that to soak your brush. Our latrine is in an Iraqi Army building so of course it smells like hell but I am used to it now.

If you have no electricity (pretty unlikely these days even in Afghanistan) at least you will have hot water during the Summer... It was 120 today.

    Good luck and stay safe.

A coffee mug would also be my advice...

I was on a trip in Asia and was at a location where there was no hot water and the tiny sink had no stopper and the water just trickled out. I used the bottom 1/3 of a water bottle to soak my brush and I used the top 2/3 with the cap on to rinse the razor between strokes.
    Simplistic but it worked.
You don't have to cut up a water bottle, but the solution doesn't have to be fancy either.
All the water you need to soak the brush is enough to cover the knot.

Left - brew, right - shaving. Or vice versa. Just remember which is which!
