    Default Organic Grooming boar brush

I was picking up some Kiss My Face shaving cream at my local Whole Foods (I'm sticking to this and proraso due to price for a while), and I saw this brush for $5 on the shelf. Has anyone used it and have some experience to share?

$5 is pretty cheap, especially considering Van der Haagen brushes go for $9 at Walgreens close by. The handle looked like real, nice wood.

I'm not a good judge of bristles right now, seeing as I've just started. Definitely stiffer than my EJ BBB but didn't seem bad.

Just a heads up to you guys, maybe someone can try one out!

Ah, the Herban Cowboy brush. Mine actually broke in much softer than VDH bristle, even though the ends were trimmed. It didn't shed at all, either. It's perfectly serviceable.

The Herban Cowboy brush was probably my first brush + it still performs well. Over time it developed a tiny crack in the handle, but in terms of creating a lather I have always been impressed--especially for $5. I've paid a lot more for a lot worse.

Plus, it's been pretty resilient. This is the one brush I've left in the shower by accident (more than once.)

Is it worth picking up just for some variety, if I have the EJ BBB already? (and am new to this)

I think for $5 you don't have much to loose.

YMMV and I didn't try the brush!

At that price, it might be nice to have just for travel.

If it doesn't work you can always use it for dusting knicknacks.
