GEMs: MMOCs, 1912s, Featherweight, Contour II.
More herd-thinning (and it'd be a shame for these to go unused).
The first is a pristine GEM Micromatic, still in its original ‘30s-era box with the FDR “NRA Eagle” packaging (to show that the company complied with Depression-era pricing regulations). It still has the original blades, in the original cardboard box; it even has the original wax-paper insert. $22 shipped. Sold If you just want the razor, I have a second OCMM, near mint, $11shipped.
Flip-top Ever-Readys: The head is like the 1912, but they are slightly safer to load. I have a brass one in very good condition, in its solid original chrome case, with blade case (including four vintage Ever-Ready and GEM blades). The fabric is faded, but the case is otherwise intact. $20 shipped. Without cases, I have two Flip-top Ever-Readys, one in very good condition, the other rather rougher with an unusually short handle. [Travel model, perhaps?] $7 shipped for the bigger one, $5 for the second, $10 for both.
Three snap-top 1912’s: The one on the left is a GEM Damaskeene with the fancy handle, generally good but showing considerable plating loss under the cover. The middle one is an Ever-Ready with a fancy handle, which I rate no better than fair due to the scratches on the face. The third is a GEM Jr. with the hexagonal ridged handle, in good condition. $6 for any, $14 for all three, shipped, and if you take them all I’ll include an OEM box of two GEM blades (see pic).
I also have two more modern GEMs, a gold Featherweight and a Contour II. Both are in excellent condition, but they’re too light for me. The lacquer finish on the head of the Featherweight is starting to haze, but I’ll defer on removing it to someone who knows finishes better. $7 for either, shipped, or $10 for both.
