Default Long Hair vs Shorter Beard Hair

Please share your opinions on why it seems that I seem to get a closer and more irritation free shave if I have more days growth than the standard fair.

I can't be the only person who has experienced this.

I thought maybe the longer whisker absorbs more water. Well, what difference does that really make? Should a short whisker absorb the same ratio water per its size?

Welcome to B&B. Perhaps the time difference allows the skin to heal longer and recoup from the previous shave.

You know, that is a really good thought. Never crossed my mind, but makes a lot of sense.

I shave everyday without irritation, barring lapses in technique. Take it slow and remember no pressure and good prep.
