Default Got my hands on Grandfathers straight

I finally took possession of my grandpas straight razor. There was supposed to be two of them but turns out mom only had the one. It is marked Bismarck Razor Works, Solingen Germany with 607 stamped on the other side. The scales are cream colored. I wish I could post a picture just don't have the ability. Mom says it is at least 80 years, probably over 100. Has anyone ever heard of this brand? If so how is the quality. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Now I need to get it honed and get a strop.

Yes I surely have. It's an excellent brand as are most straights made in Solingen,Germany. Very good qulity steel with a good temper of the steel. You can still find old ones that have been refurbished. In fact I see one listed every couple of weeks on SRP classifeds.
    It's a keeper:-)
