Cool Vulfix Sandalwood-The underdog of shaving creams?!

    Hello
I have been using several shaving creams like Talyor avocado , T&H total comfort and so on
    But
I didn't even thought I will say that, but the Vulfix is the best one I have had till now
It makes a really HUGE mountain of lather, and the lather is just amazing! it isn't too thick for the blade to cut thrught, and still not to thin so you will get cuts
Just the right amount of thicknes for me
The smell is nice, not a brilliant one, but still very nice:)

And the best here is the PRICE
    for 15.99 $ you get a 180 gram (6.3 ounce) bowl
    http://www.classicshaving.com/catalo...60/1313956.htm

    And btw
This is the first shave cream I had that gave me irritation free and no nicks or cuts at all!!!
So, what I am saying is that I am in love with that shaving cream
I still will keep on buying others shave creams and soaps, but this one is a MUST try for any one who love wet shaving

Every producer seems to have their own take on the "scent" of sandalwood, and Vulfix's is one of the most interesting. Their lavender is unique, as well.

Love the scent, not so keen on the performance. If you have normal to soft water, it's great. However, I can't any sort of lubricity out of it with my hard water.

I don't have that good water, my water pumps get a lot of stone usually
    But
I still make a nice thick good lather with the Vulfix, and I Really love it!
It last on my brush for even 5 rounds of shaving with out any problems

Average water hardness in my area is also too high (300mg/L and higher). I switched to use softened water for shaving (I have a water softener for my espresso machine and cooking).

I think you can use a Brita jug to soften water - it is quite effective! And in case you are only using it for shaving, you can recharge the filter in salted water instead of replacing it (10 minutes in a pot with 1 liter of water and 2 tablespoons of salt once a week).

I have Vulfix Lavender cream (thanks Ryan) and it performs very well. Nice and thick lather, very lubricating. Gives a better shave than Taylor lavender IMO, but smells not as good. YMMV.

You mean you guys haven't installed dedicated reverse osmosis units for shaving?

    I thought you were pros.

I have had the Vulfix sandalwood for about 4 months now. As first I thought it was just OK. I have been using soaps for almost 6 months straight but then upon some work with my lathering skills thanks to you guys I came back to it. I find that I get a creamier lather with is than other creams and I really am a fan of the scent. It def has a bad wrap!! If I had to pick between using this or Taylors Id go with the Vulfix! Just works with me but YMMV!

I used this last night and got my first nick free shave since I started using my DE over two weeks ago. Smells great.

Of course, I also popped a new blade in there so that probably helped a little.

I think the Vulfix Lavendar is underrated. I get great shaves and it leaves my skin smooth and moisturized.

Maybe the reason it doesn't get more raves is because of the scent? I like the scent, but it's a weird, sort of detergenty scent, almost along the lines of Palmolive cream. Not really anything that screams "Lavendar!"

I know there are many varieties of lavendar (plants), hence many different variations of lavendar EO, etc., so maybe this is just another variation.

At any rate, it's a great cream. Definitely one I'll replace when my current one runs out.
