There you have it, J -- Andreas is the man of Palmolive in our neck of the woods! And, ironically, it was he who hooked me up on the Arko with a generous PIF. ;)

Our Rewe carries it (.99 Euros); dm (.75 Euros), and I believe our Rossmann and Edeka do too. If you don't find it locally, PM me and I'll trade for some Tüff herb. :)

On the original question: not addicted, but most definitely one of my all-time favorites. Great performer, best value for money, and, to me, a pleasant scent. Not sophisticated, but down to earth, clean, straight.

I stockpiled five or six, in case they will ever be discontinued. And I guess I will add on... ;)

    Good morning.
Sorry - had´t see that you stand in Dresden ... Like Peter wrote: If you couldn't find the Palmolive Stick in our region send a PM and I can sending Sticks, too ;).
The SC of it is superb, too. But the soap is the winner for me.

I used the Palmolive soap stick for over 30 years with both boar and badger brushes, then Colgate Australia decided to withdraw it from New Zealand. This then left no shave sticks available at the supermarkets - all going to foam in a can. Short story... I phoned Colgate to complain and the woman in customer services told me of the Badger and Blade site. Since then a whole new world has opened up thatI never new existed. Got myself a Fat Boy, then a Merkur HD, TOBS St James cream matched to Kent BK4 and Truefitt & Hill soap matched to a Simpson Duke #2 and have never looked back!

I take that and Arko with me on the road. I use them both a good amount...hard to beat the Euro Palmolive or Arko for the money.

I just used Palmolive EU stick this afternoon. Soak the tip for ten minutes, spread on face, lather up with wet (damp) brush for a minute or two and shave. I had enough lather for three passes and then some (rare with most brands of shave stick). I store the stick in a medium size pill bottle which also serves as the soaking container. There isn't much of a scent to this stick but as a shave soap it works quite well.

If the OP ever looks for variety, the Honeybee shave stick also works well although these sticks are scented stronger than Palmolive EU.

The Palmolive stick is the jewel in the DE crown! Honestly, for 65c what would you get? It's cheaper than a the cheapest packet of DE blades. It's got a great old time scent. Every time I'm in the supermarket I buy a few and stock them. They last for ages when in use too. It is an all-time classic and a wonder of the shaving world at this stage!

I use the European made stick, it's always in my rotation. Very good one indeed.

The cream is great but it doesn't smell like the good old stick! :(

Think I might want to try this...which vendor has the best deal on these? (I'd need shipping to the USA)
