I been using vintage DE blades, nice ones without a blemish. I have noticed a hole different feel of a shave. The old gillette blues and rexall blades, seem to cut very close, actually better than a new blade, but they dont seem to last more than 2 times, where a new blade, almost any kind will last 3 to 4 times. Can anyone add feed back to this. I can not say the edge is deteriorated from age, but maybe its microscopic. Im thinking the edge is just different and can not stay sharp as long. All and all they are very effective, buy I dont think I am going to buy too many. I will stick to new blades. I have cleaned the old blades really well, even though they look like new.
