Single ring and HD/LD rockets

1. Cased 1917 single ring. Coded FO21974.
The razor is in pretty good condition although there is some staining on the head (as per last photo). The head locks down tight to the body. Case closes smoothly and comes with both blade holders, however the catch does not lock.

From discussions with GentsInstinct, I believe this razor is quite rare. Judging from the case, it seems like it was created right around the time that Gillette took over from ABC.

2. Rocket LD (without case).
This is the lighter and rarer version of the HD rocket. I put this on the scales and it came in weighing 33 grams.

The rocket for sale has a small mark on the handle but otherwise in good condition. It has one slightly lazy door, but this does not effect shave.

3. Rocket HD (without case)
This is a good razor, with two small problems. Like the LD it has a slightly lazy door (but this does not effect its function). The head has also been removed at some point and when it was reattached it has gone back on crooked. I believe that it may be able to be reassembled correctly, but I am 100% sure how to. It is still a good shaver, the head locks down tight etc. I have tried to take a photo of the gap below.

Rare, or at least very unique, in that it has an ABC patch in the lid, a patch only found in the pocket sets made by American Button Company under contract to Gillette. Also a coat of arms imprint under the patch. Both something I've never seen before nor did anyone else in the thread say they've seen it in this type of case. If I had the money, I'd buy it. Look at the TTO knob. As I understand it, the knob is solid plated brass whereas the USA versions are open ended hollow.

Under the head, you will see a second ring. Also, on the Rocket, there is a gap above the TTO knob when the razor is in the closed position. When you open the razor, it "disappears."

I send Achim (Mr Razor) a PM and he said that he had not seen a razor case with that label.
